Monday September 12

Volleyball

Private Tournament 8

Canterbury 3, Bishop Verot 0: The Cougars won 25-12, 25-17, 25-18. Aaliyah Harlow had 21 assists, 3 digs and 3 aces, Madison Hammermeister added 12 kills and 4 digs, and Kayla Huether had 10 kills, 4 aces and 4 digs. Canterbury host First Baptist on Tuesday night for a place in the Championship.

CSN 3, Saint-Jean Neumann 1: The Seahawks won 25-19, 25-13, 23-25, 25-18. The Celtics were led by Alysson Jaen (12 kills, 13 digs, ace) and Shanie Sedio (26 assists, 5 digs) in the loss. CSN will travel to Seacrest in a semi-final contest.

Seacrest 3, SFCA 0: Seacrest (11-3), the tournament’s top seed, won 25-8, 25-8, 25-13 over the King’s.

First Baptist 3, ECS 0: The Lions (4-0) won 25-9, 25-17, 25-23 against the Sentinels to advance to the Private 8 semi-finals.

Gulf Coast 3, Naples 0: The Sharks went 6-1 that year, sweeping the Golden Eagles (5-2).

Marco Island 3, Classic Mason 0: The Rays (8-2) won 27-25, 25-6, 25-7. Medney Garraux had 24 kills, 7 digs and an ace, while Madison Stolinas added 2 kills, 33 aces, 13 digs, 4 aces and Jenna Ragan had 9 kills, 3 digs and 3 aces.

Boys Golf

Invitation Jenkins 2022: Bishop Verot won the team event with an aggregate score of 275. Christian Allen was the team’s top individual finisher, taking fourth place with a 69, and teammates Kevin Kelly and Michael Bevins followed with 73 and Dalton Payne took a 74.
