Former Portsmouth, Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch traveled to Hart Swimming Club for their spring meeting.
At the Hart Leisure Center in Fleet, Hampshire, the competition brought together Crouch, his wife Abbey Clancy and their family who came to watch their daughter compete and win a medal in her events.
Crouch and Clancy took several photos with many competitors, while supporting and encouraging swimmers from all clubs.
More than 400 swimmers representing 13 swimming clubs from Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Dorset, West Sussex and Somerset came to compete for qualification at the South East Regional Championships and to progress to National Championship competitions.
Swimmers aged between 9 and 25 took part in a competition which also opened the doors to an audience of over 500 people during the two days of competition.
Hart Head Coach Darren Buchan said: “Once again, thank you to all the swimmers and coaches for your support of Hart SC and all of the visiting clubs.
“We had a great time and really enjoyed hosting you all! It was great to have such a big crowd once again. The atmosphere was awesome. »
President Spencer Farmer added, “A big thank you to all of our volunteers for helping to organize this event.
“We had a new event team this time around and they were fantastic, thank you Matt and Yolanda C!
“These events are critical to the continued success and progress of Hart SC. Without them, we couldn’t afford to hire pool space or coaches to help our swimmers progress and reach their potential.
“It’s also great for the local community as these events help fill local hotels, B&Bs and restaurants as we bring many visitors to the area.”
