Kingdom Swimming Club shortlisted for Swim Ireland Club of the Year 2022

The Kingdom Swimming Club has been shortlisted for the Swim Ireland 2022 Club of the Year award.

Tralee Club was nominated along with Cathal Brugha Swimming and Water Polo Club in Belfast, Claremorris Swimming Club in Mayo and Mayfield-based Dolphin Swimming Club in Cork City.

Chairman Pat McTigue said: “I am delighted and proud that Kingdom Swimming Club has been shortlisted for Swim Ireland Club of the Year 2022. It is a great recognition of teamwork, perseverance and dedication. involvement of the Kingdom Swimming Club over the past two years. Kudos to the swimmers, head coach and coaching staff, parents and committee.

“In our 40th year of existence, it is extremely motivating for all of our members and the wider community to be nationally recognized and included in the final four swimming clubs in the country.”

Head coach Ger McDonnell said: “It’s a testament to everyone involved with the club not just now but to everyone over the past 40 years who has seen the Kingdom Swimming Club establish itself as a strong swimming club with huge links to the local and wider Kerry community.”

The winner will be announced at the Swim Ireland Awards 2022 in October.
