COLDWATER — The Coldwater Cardinal women’s swimming and diving team played in their second game of the SMAC Conference season Tuesday night at the Browne Aquatic Center, hosting the Battle Creek Central Bearcats. Coldwater won 11 of 12 events in a dominating effort, moving to 2-0 on the season with an 89-48 victory over Battle Creek Central. A pair of swimmers were double winners in the pool, taking key victories in two separate events. In the lead, Randi Dudek finished first in the 50-yard freestyle and first in the 100-yard freestyle. Carly Krzyzanski, who won both the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle, also picked up two victories on the night. Klara-Sofie Bollmann also won the 100 Butterly. ; Charlotte Calhoun with another victory in the 1 meter dive; Ayla McCowan with a win in the 100 breaststroke; and Olivia Boland with a win in the 100m backstroke.
Coldwater also had victories in all three relay races en route to overall victory. Rounding out Coldwater’s effort for the night, Klara-Sofia Bollman, second in the 50 freestyle with the win in the 100 butterfly; Harper Mueller-Michael, second in the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 100 freestyle; Ayla McCowan, second place in the 200 individual medley with her victory in the 100 breaststroke; Olivia Boland, third place in the 200 individual medley with her victory in the 100 backstroke; Sienna Losinski, third place in the 100 butterfly; Josselyn Martinez, second place in the 500m freestyle and fourth place in the 200m individual medley; Gabby Bookmyer, third in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 breaststroke; Alexa Omo, third place in the 1 meter dive; Kiraly Schoenauer, second place in the 1 meter dive; Brianna Barle, fourth in the 100 breaststroke; and Ashlyn Britton, fifth in the 100 freestyle. By the end of the night, every Coldwater swimmer had scored a point in the win. Coldwater will be back in action next Tuesday when they host Adrian at the Browne Aquatic Center.
