A member of the Dragons Swimming Club receives awards during the ceremony

Several Dragons swimmers were recently invited to attend the EGA Awards ceremony.

Luke Sproule was awarded as the EGA’s Top Male Performer at the SSA Regional Seniors while Cornelle Leach was awarded the District colors for competing at the Senior Nationals.

Kat Swanepoel won the EGA’s best performance at the SA Senior National.

Ana Sequeira and Cassidy Sinclair each earned district colors for competing in the SA Junior Nationals.

Matthew Falconer achieved the EGA age group record for 18+ in the 200m backstroke while Hannah Rigby earned district colors for competing at the SA Junior Nationals and the EGA age group record for 13-year-old women in the 400m freestyle, 400m individual medley and 800m freestyle events. .

Zuria Venter earned district colors for competing at the SA Junior National Championships and was awarded the EGA age group record for women age 11 in the 200m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.

She also received the EGA Champs 10 trophy at age 11 victrix ludurom.
